Tyron Woodley has no explanation for his loss to Colby Covington at UFC Vegas 11.
Woodley suffered a fifth-round TKO to Covington in the main event of UFC Vegas 11. Woodley, who was transported to a local hospital after the event due to suffering a rib injury during the bout, would post a short video on Instagram talking about his loss to Covington (transcript via Damon Martin of MMA Fighting):
“I appreciate you guys – love you guys. It didn’t go the way I wanted guys. Last person I wanted to lose to. I don’t know what the f**k happened. It happened. Gotta dust it off, shake the sh*t off and find a way.”
UFC President Dana White plans on having a conversation with Woodley in the future about hanging up the gloves. The former UFC welterweight champion has now lost two straight and hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years.
