Tyron Woodley has no qualms with playing dirty against Colby Covington.
Former UFC welterweight champion Woodley and former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington will meet next weekend in the main event of UFC Vegas 11.
Low blows are an unfortunate part of MMA, one of which Woodley may land on Covington during their bout. Woodley would accept the point deduction for the foul.
“I agree with you. I will let my hands go. And you fans who are telling me, ‘Let your hands go! Let your hands go!’ I need to let ‘em go. I agree with you. And you have that, you’ve got my word. I’mma let these hands go. I’mma let them go upside his head, body. I might even punch him in the sack for the warning. Bow! I’ll take the warning or even the point deduction,” Woodley said during a recent Instagram Live session (via Milan Ordonez of Bloody Elbow).
While one or two low blows during a fight will either lead to a warning or point deduction from a referee, more than that could also lead to a disqualification.
UFC Vegas 11 takes place on Saturday, September 19 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
