UFC 207 PPV Draws Big Numbers For All-Time Great Stretch

On the backs of Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor, the UFC enjoyed their biggest PPV success ever from November 2015 to December 2016.

Dave Meltzer of MMA Fighting reports that UFC 207 did 1.1 million buys with a Ronda Rousey vs. Amanda Nunes main event that had an unusual Friday air date, and little to no promotion from the event's main event stars/

In a 13 month stretch, the UFC landed 7 pay-per-view events that drew over one million buys. In comparison, UFC had only one in the five years prior, and seven all time before November 2015.

Of those figures, Conor McGregor was the subject for four of those shows, while Rousey was for two. The other was UFC 200, which had the benefit of Brock Lesnar, Daniel Cormier, Anderson Silva, and a women's title fight.

As of now, Rousey's future is unclear, and Conor McGregor is likely to be out of the cage for another 8 months as he awaits the birth of his first child.
