Charles Oliveira def. Michael Chandler via TKO (Punches) (Rd. 2 0:19)

Charles Oliveira is the new UFC lightweight champion after knocking out Michael Chandler in the second round. After a competitive first round where both men threatened finishes, Chandler with a deep guillotine choke, and Oliveira with extended back control. At the start of the second, Oliveira caught Chandler with a short left hook to knock him down, and after a short follow-up, we had a new champion.

Beneil Dariush def. Tony Ferguson via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Beniel Dariush blew Tony Ferguson out of the water and announced his arrival as a contender in the UFC's lightweight division. He used a relentless pressure approach to secure takedowns, and push for submission finishes for most of the fight. Notably, in the second round, he locked Ferguson in a heel hook, and Ferguson's knee looked like it popped. Good performance by Dariush, but a very poor one by Ferguson.

Post-fight, Dariush cut a fairly entertaining if nonsensical promo, which is worth checking out.

Rogerio Bontorin def. Matt Schnell via Unaniamous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Rogerio Bontorin made up for missing weight by putting on a good performance in defeating Matt Schnell. Schnell was competitive for most of the fight, but the majority of the heavy blows were scored by Bontorin, especially in the third round, which Bontorin dominated.

Katlyn Chookagian def. Viviane Araujo via Unaniamous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

In a fairly dull fight, with a controversial decision, Katlyn Chookagian won all three scorecards against Viviane Araujo. If you've seen one Chookagian fight, you've seen them all.

Edson Barboza def. Shane Burgos via TKO (Punches) (Rd. 3 1:16)

In the easy fight of the night, Edson Barboza, and Shane Burgos went to war and ended with one of the oddest knockouts you'll ever see. Barboza hit Burgos with a 1-2 combination, which Burgos seemed to shake off, only for him to lose his equilibrium, and essentially shut down. After brief, and unnecessary follow-up punches, the fight was called. If you missed this fight, you should go out of your way to check it out.

André Muniz def. Jacare Souza via Technical Submission (Triangle Armbar) (Rd 1. 3:59)

For the second month in a row, the UFC PPV featured a legend having his arm broken. In this case, it was Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, whose arm was trapped in a triangle armbar, and then snapped with a gruesome audible snap which the UFC broadcast conveniently played a few times, in case you missed it. Can't be overstated how great a win this is for Muniz. Not only beating Jacare, but submitting an absolute legend of the jiu-jitsu world launches him into relevancy in the UFC middleweight division.

Lando Vannata def. Mike Grundy via Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 27-30)

In his debut in the featherweight division, Lando Vannata stuffed a multitude of takedowns from England's Grundy, and used various simmering kickboxing approaches to edge the decision. Slightly shaky judging with 30-27s on each side of the docket.

Jordan Wright def. Jamie Pickett via TKO (Strikes) (Rd. 1 1:04)

"The Beverly Hills Ninja" Jordan Wright blew Jamie Pickett out of the water in just over a minute, capitalizing on lethal "Travis Browne elbows" to rock Pickett, and pour on the offence to get the finish.

Andrea Lee def. Antonina Shevchenko via Submission (Triangle Armbar) (Rd. 2 4:52)

Andrea Lee kicked off the ESPN portion of the card with a very impressive performance. After a back and forth first round, Lee caught Shevchenko in a triangle position, and despite struggling to finish it for most of the round, finally caught the younger Shevchenko sister in an armbar to get the finish.

Priscilla Cachoeira def. Gina Mazany via TKO (Punches) (Rd. 2 4:51)

Priscilla Cachoeira utilized a strong counter-punching approach to win her second fight in a row, and continue her comeback trail after dropping her first three UFC fights.

Tucker Lutz def. Kevin Aguilar via Unaniamous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

Tucker Lutz ran out to an early lead, and then held on while tiring down the stretch to beat Kevin Aguilar in a fight where each guy had their moments, but nothing really of note went down.

Christos Giagos def. Sean Soriano via Technical Submission (Brabo Choke) (Rd. 2 0:59)

In the opening fight of the night, Christos Giagos welcomed Sean Soriano back to the UFC after an extended hiatus by putting him completely to sleep with a rare brabo choke. Early bonus contender in the first fight of the night.

UFC 262 Bonuses:

Fight of the Night fairly obviously went to the barn burner between Shane Burgos, and Edson Barboza, with each man picking up 75K. The Performance of the Night bonuses went to Charles Oliveira for his main event knockout, and to Christos Giagos who opened the card up with a rare Brabo Choke.
