UFC Fight Night Philadelphia Live Gate, Attendance & Bonuses

The UFC returned to Philadelphia last night with UFC Fight Night Philadelphia, which featured Justin Gaethje defeating Edson Barboza by first round knockout in the main event.

A total of 11,123 fans attended the event, which took place at the Wells Fargo Center, according to MMA Junkie. The live gate wasn’t too bad either, as the promotion brought in $1,102,542.16.

Bonuses were also handed out by the promotion according to MMA Junkie, with Gaethje and Barboza picking up $50,000 each for Fight Of The Night. Jack Hermansson (who defeated David Branch) and Paul Craig (who defeated Kennedy Nzechukwu) picked up $50,000 each for Performances Of The Night. That means that a total of $200,000 was handed out in bonuses by the promotion, which is the norm for the majority of UFC events. The promotion is also able to hand out discretionary bonuses to the fighters, but that information is not revealed to the general public.

Up next for the UFC is UFC 236 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia with UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier in the main event. A bout for the vacant interim middleweight championship will co-headline the event as Kelvin Gastelum faces Israel Adesanya.
