UFC Fight Night Uruguay Attendance & Bonuses

The UFC made their debut last night in Uruguay with UFC Fight Night Uruguay, which featured UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko successfully defending the gold against Liz Carmouche via unanimous decision in the main event.

A total of 9,255 fans attended the event in the Antel Arena, which the promotion did officially label as a sell out. No live gate was revealed by UFC officials for UFC Fight Night Uruguay, which is the norm for the majority of the promotion’s international events.

Bonuses were also awarded for those who fought at UFC Fight Night Uruguay, with Volkan Oezdemir and Veronica Macedo picking up $50,000 each for Performances Of The Night. A welterweight division slugfest between Vicente Luque and Mike Perry won Fight Of The Night, with Perry and Luque picking up $50,000 each in bonuses. A total of $200,000 was handed out in bonus money, which is the norm for the majority of UFC events.

Up next for the UFC is UFC 241 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California and that card is going to be headlined by UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier defending against Stipe Miocic.
