The UFC’s first stint in Fight Island has come to a close with UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till, which featured former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker defeating Darren Till in the main event via unanimous decision.
A six pack of fighters also picked up bonuses for their efforts on Saturday Night, with all of them being Performance Of The Night bonuses. Those fighters who picked up $50,000 each were Tanner Boser (who defeated Raphael Pessoa), Tom Aspinall (who defeated Jake Collier), Jesse Ronson (who defeated Nicolas Dalby), Paul Craig (who defeated Gadzhimurad Antigulov), former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum (who defeated Alexander Gustafsson) and Khamzat Chimaev (who defeated Rhys McKee).
That means that a total of $300,000 was handed out in bonus money, which is $100,000 above the normal amount of $200,000. There were no Fight Of The Night bonuses handed out, so the Performance Of The Night bonuses was all that was awarded in bonus money to the fighters.
Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan, which is headlined by a middleweight division attraction between Derek Brunson and Edmen Shahbazyan.
