Four fighters left UFC Vegas 23 with an extra $50,000 in their pockets, including Mackenzie Dern and Julian Marquez.
A middleweight throwdown between Julian Marquez and Sam Alvey was awarded Fight of the Night honors at UFC Vegas 23. Submission act Mackenzie Dern and former KSW champion Mateusz Gamrot were each awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. All four UFC fighters will receive an additional $50,000.

Marquez and Alvey both hurt one another across two rounds of action; however, it was Marquez who got the better of his opponent. He rocked Alvey silly in the second and snatched a rear-naked choke that rendered his opponent unconscious.
Dern made quick work of Nina Nunes (formerly Nina Ansaroff) in the latter's return bout after welcoming a child. Dern showed improved wrestling in grounding her opponent and snatched the armbar with seconds left in the opening stanza.
Gamrot outclassed Holtzman across two rounds, hurting him on multiple occasions before getting the ground-and-pound finish.
