Dang, Justin Gaethje has a chin on him.
Gaethje ate a massive head kick in a training session posted to Instagram. In the video, the UFC interim lightweight champion's sparring partner blasts Gaethje with a head kick. The partner immediately expressed concern but Gaethje just walked down his teammate, presumably to enact a degree of revenge.
Gaethje has always been a fan-favorite due to his forward pressure and willingness to take a shot. It turns out the same is true in training. The "Highlight Reel" is currently coming off a fifth-round TKO of Tony Ferguson and is riding a four-fight winning streak with a 100 percent finish rate.
UFC 254 takes place on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, October 25. Nurmagomedov vs. Gaethje will headline a card that boasts Robert Whittaker vs. Jared Cannonier, Zabit Magomedsharipov vs. Yair Rodriguez, and an expected clash between Dustin Poirier and Tony Ferguson.
