UFC veteran Yushin Okami recently signed a multi-fight agreement with One Championship and will make his promotional debut against Kiamrian Abbasov in a middleweight division encounter.
Okami (35-12-0) will enter the contest having won just one of three in his second UFC run, with that lone win coming against Dhiego Lima at UFC On Fox 29. Okami had previously challenged for the UFC Middleweight Championship, losing to then champion Anderson Silva at UFC 134. Okami has suffered twelve defeats as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.
Abbasov (20-4-0) has won just one of two bouts under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming against Agilan Thani at One Championship: Destiny Of Champions. Abbasov will also enter the bout while riding a two fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year. Abbasov has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of them have come by way of submission.
One Championship 94 takes place on Friday, May 3 from the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia with Sam-A Gaiyanghadao and Jonathan Haggerty headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Beacher Report Live.
