A welterweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming UFC On Fox 24 card that will be pitting Zak Cummings up against Nathan Coy.
Cummings (20-5-0) has won three of his last four fights under the UFC banner, defeating Dominique Steele, Nicolas Dalby and Alexander Yakovlev, with that lone defeat coming to Santiago Ponzinibbio. Cummings has been in the UFC for nearly four years, but he has yet to compete on a UFC pay-per-view card. Cummings has previously challenged for the Midwest Cage Championships Middleweight Title and Maximum Fighting Championships Light Heavyweight Title, losing both of those title fights.
Coy (15-6-0) has won just one of two fights in UFC competition, defeating Jonavin Webb and suffering a defeat to Danny Roberts. Coy has competed three times in the Bellator MMA promotion as well, most notably defeating fellow UFC veteran Paul Bradley by unanimous decision at Bellator 114. Coy defeated three other UFC veterans before signing with the promotion in 2015, those three UFC vets he defeated are Rick Story, Mike Pierce and Dhiego Lima.
UFC On Fox 24 takes place on Saturday, April 15 from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri with Rose Namajunas and Michelle Waterson headlining.
