Police Recommend Paige Be Charged With Battery After Alberto Airport Incident, State's Attorney Deciding Whether To Press Charges

When we last checked in with the Paige and Alberto El Patron story from a week ago, Paige was maintaining that SHE was the one who committed Battery on Alberto El Patron, not the other way around, when she threw a drink on him at an Orlando Airport Bar. Trouble was, the police told Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet the only suspect in the investigation was Alberto.

However, in a new report from Satin and PWS, the cops seemed to have changed their tune, not to mention their prime suspect.

They have now determined that it is, in fact, Paige (real name Saraya Bevis) who should be charged with battery. Now it’s up to the State Attorney’s office to make a final decision about whether charges should be brought.

An Orlando PD spokesperson told Pro Wrestling Sheet:

“OPD detectives have found that probable cause exists to charge Saraya Bevis with Battery (Domestic Violence). Detectives have sent the information to the State Attorney’s Office for review and the SAO will determine whether to file charges in the case.”

So it looks like Paige was telling the truth, and she is the one at fault for the incident, which only serves to muddy the waters of this whole situation even further.

Audiotape of the incident is damning for Alberto, so much so that he was stripped of the title in Paige's family's WAW promotion in the UK, and was removed from a different UK booking, this one for PWE, in favor of WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne. He was also suspended indefinitely from GFW, where he is still their Unified Heavyweight Champion.
