Ring of Honor Episode 270 The Kingdom VS Team CMLL & More!

This is the FIghtful.com recap for this week's episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling and we are just one week away from the biggest show of the year; Final Battle! 

Silas Young vs Kyle O'Reilly

Kyle is in control early, showing his superior grappling skills then they sweep each others legs for a quick 1 count each then Kyle rolls Silas up for a quick 2 count. Kyle then puts a side headlock on Silas, but Young is quick to power out of it, Kyle dropping him repeatedly then rolls through into a kneebar, but Silas is right by the ropes. Kyle focuses on the left leg and knee of Silas then Silas sends Kyle to the outside. Silas rolls out after Kyle and throws him into the barricade repeatedly as we go to commercial.

Silas gets a quick 2 count as we come back then puts a rear chin lock on Kyle who quickly powers out of it and hits a series of punches and kicks that drops Silas. Kyle goes for another kneebar, but Silas kicks at Kyle, Kyle transitioning into a heel hook, but Young gets to the ropes quickly. Kyle goes right back to the left leg of Young then the arm and goes for an armbar, but Silas rolls through then hits a modified neckbreaker onto his knee for a quick 2 count. Silas goes for a full nelson, but Kyle reverses into a sleeper, but Silas counters and hits a cutter for a close 2 count. Kyle hits a t-bone suplex then Silas hits a German suplex. Kyle goes back to the arm of Silas then Silas hits a knee as Adam Cole comes down to ring side. Kyle hits a modified GTS then puts on an armbar that Silas quickly rolls to the ropes to break up. Silas goes for Misery, but it's countered into a brainbuster for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kyle O'Reilly via pinfall with a brainbuster

-After the match Silas is interviewed and makes fun of someone dressed up as Jushin Thunder Liger in the crowd. Next Jay Lethal cuts a promo backstage about his match with Cody Rhodes and how the fans only care about what you can do in the Ring of Honor ring and not about where you've been or who you're related to. Jay says he's got nothing else to prove and wants to see what Cody's got for him as we go to commercial.

-We come back and get a segment with the Motor City Machine Guns, showcasing their career. We then get a promo by The Addiction who talk about The Briscoes. The Addiction want to cement their legacy as the best team in Ring of Honor history. Next we have Colt Cabana and Dalton Castle talking about how they lost last week then Castle picks out two guys from a row and picks them to be his boys tonight.

Colt Cabana & Dalton Castle vs Preston Quinn & Ken Dixon

Castle and Dixon start it off by locking up then a clean break then Castle hits a Bang-A-Rang into a bridging German suplex out of no where for the pin and the win.

Winner: Colt Cabana and Dalton Castle via pinfall

-After the match Castle and Colt talk about how they have to work their way back up the ladder of Ring of Honor and Colt talks about how fans love Castle and that he reminds him of himself. Colt says they're starting at the bottom and says maybe he should just do it as a singles competitor and Colt wants to go their separate ways. Colt starts to leave then Castle has him come back in then Colt wants to shake hands, but Castle wants a hug and as soon as they embrace Colt hits Castle with a low blow. Colt leaves then comes back in and throws one boy out of the ring then the other on top of Castle before choking Castle with feathers. Colt starts stabbing Castle repeatedly with the sharp end of a feather and busts his nose open. Colt leaves the ring and Castle slowly makes it to his feet as we go to commercial.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O'Ryan & Vinny Marseglia) vs Team CMLL (Ultimo Guerrero, Okumura & Hechicero)

Hechicero and TK O'Ryan start it off with the two doing various holds, but neither can get an edge until Hechi puts a leg lock on TK who quickly gets to the ropes. TK shoves him then backs him into the corner and chops him, but Hechi hits a leg lariat then gets a quick 2 count off of a crucifix pin. Ultimo comes in against Vinny and Vinny hits a bicycle kick, but Ultimo sweeps his legs and hits a sliding dropkick that sends him to the outside. Team CMLL hit a triple team move on Vinny on the outside as we go to commercial.

Okumura and Taven are in now, the two exchanging slaps and chops then Okumura hits an exploder suplex into a falcon arrow for a quick 2 count. Vinny gets tagged in then tags in Taven who stomps on Okumura in their corner as Vinny and TK choke him on the apron. Taven hits a powerbomb for a quick 2 count then tags in Vinny who drops Okumura then Taven hits a moonsault for a close 2 count. Okumura finally gets to his corner and tags in Ultimo, but all three members of The Kingdom come after him. Ultimo hits a foot stomp on both Taven and TK then Hechicero comes in against Vinny and rolls him up repeatedly then rolls around with him before putting him in a submission that TK breaks up. TK hits a Pele kick then Okumura comes in and hits a draping DDT on TK. Ultimo comes in and chops Taven then Taven hits a step up enzuigiri as we go to commercial.

TK hits a powerslam then Vinny hits a Swanton Bomb bomb and Taven misses a splash. The Kingdom dive out after Team CMLL then roll Hechicero back into the ring. The Kingdom hit a triple powerbomb neckbreaker for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Kingdom via pinfall
