Steve Austin Says Stone Cold Podcast Filled WWE Network Obligation

WWE Network and the company in general has underwent several cost-cutting measures of late including cuts to pyro, digital programming, and many others.

The WWE Network remains a priority for WWE, but has seen the likes of Renee Young's "Unfiltered," "Legends with JBL," and "Talking Smack" all canceled. On a recent edition of his podcast, WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin was asked if his popular video podcast would return. "Man, I don't know. That's a good question. We signed up for 12 of those, we did 12, then we stopped. So we'll see if talks continue and sign that thing back up or not. We fulfilled them, then we stopped."

The often-controversial show featured many high profile guests including Vince McMahon, Paige, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Christian, Big Show, AJ Styles, Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, Ric Flair, Paul Heyman, Triple H and many more. There hasn't been a new episode since August 8, 2016, which was a highly criticized episode with then-WWE Champion Dean Ambrose. The program first aired in December 2016, and would occasionally see fill-ins from the likes of Chris Jericho and Mick Foley.
