UFC Fight Night 92, which didn't feature any big names and was competing against the Olympics, drew a fairly impressive 863,000 viewers on August 6 on FS1.
The peak for the main card, which saw Yair Rodriguez defeat Alex Caceres via split decision, was 1,023,000 viewers from 10:45-11:00 p.m. ET, approximately around the second and third fight of the card. The prelims, which preceded the main card on FS1 and went from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., drew 662,000 viewers. Court McGee and Dominique Steele headlined the FS1 prelims.
The event aired from 10:00 p.m. to about 1:30 a.m. ET. It scored 428,000 viewers in the coveted adult 18-49 demo. The prelims also drew 325,000 viewers in the adult 18-49 demo. The post-fight show on FS1 drew 229,000 viewers and 120,000 viewers in the adult 18-49 demo.
Part of the reason the main card went so long was the lack of quick finishes. Every fight on the show went the distance outside of the Thales Leites and Chris Camozzi fight, which saw Camozzi tap in the third round.
The event fared better than UFC Fight Night 91 which drew 609,000 and 311,000 (Prelims) viewers respectively, but that card was on a weekday, not traditionally a fight night.. The August 6 card also had competition, going up against the first weekend of the Summer Olympics from Rio. The prelims actually fared pretty well, all things considered, as it scored the highest viewership since UFC Fight Night 85's prelims, 766,000 viewers, in March. The Olympics, that night, had more than 20 million viewers on NBC.
