Ricky Saints: Me And Ethan Page Are Two People Trying To Prove A Point
Ricky Saints and Ethan Page have been battling over the NXT North American Championship in recent months, with Page besting Saints in a street fight at NXT Great American Bash.
Speaking to Booker T and Brad Gilmore on the Hall of Fame podcast, Saints was asked about his physical battles with Page.
“You know what it is? It’s two people trying to prove a point. Whether that’s the people in the front office, whether it’s the fans, or to themselves. Those are two people who are trying to say, ‘This is what you’ve been missing out on. This is what you’ve had in each individual for X amount of years.’ I love that. I love that type of competition where somebody thinks they are better than me. Hell yeah. Let’s do it. Let’s get out there and see who can run the fastest, jump the highest. For someone that I’ve known for a while, this is a little different. There is a lot of pressure for both of us in terms of performing and making sure people know who we are beyond NXT. I couldn’t ask for anything better,” he said.
Saints noted that he might be getting his ass whooped, but he’s returning the whooping.
Ricky Saints is set to face Jasper Troy on Tuesday’s NXT.
