Chad Gable: If Undertaker Could Give The Main Roster The Same Speed He Gave To Me In AAA, We’d See A Revolution

Chad Gable was one-half of one of the best matches of the year, portraying the Original El Grande Americano against El Grande Americano II (Ludwig Kaiser) in a mask vs. mask match.
Fans have praised the match for being different from main roster matches and feeling more in the moment than many WWE matches.
Appearing on Huge Pop with Donny DaSilva and Jimmy Korderas, Gable was asked if more of the match was called in the ring compared to his other bouts.
“It was the most feeling it in the moment I’ve ever done in my entire career. The cool answer would be, ‘We didn’t go over anything.’ Really, it was just feeling. The lucha libre crowd are so passionate that they allow you to feel comfortable doing that. Just going out and performing like nowhere else I’ve ever gone. I credit the Undertaker a ton of times throughout the fallout to this match for pulling that out of me, the ability and willingness to go out there and feel it, and not worry so much. It takes a mental shift; it takes the ability to be confident in yourself and your ability to carry a match without having things in your head. Part of that is being a pro and trusting your instincts and what you’ve done for thirteen years, and also relying on your amateur background. I had to pull from some of that mentality of that killer instinct for when it’s time for me to take control, I’m going to run this match. It sounds philosophical, but when you reach that level and you’re able to let everything else go and be in the moment, there is nothing like it. Something else is guiding you and propelling you forward. You can’t quite explain it, but it’s the best feeling in the world,” he said.
Donny noted that he wanted to see more of that across the WWE, leading Gable to reply, “I don’t want to volunteer Undertaker for anything, but if he could give that same speech that he gave to me, I can’t even use the words he used in some of the speeches he gave to me to pull it out of me, but if he could give that to the main roster and really get through to people, we’d see a revolution. It’s been great.”
Undertaker is the lead producer of Lucha Libre AAA.
Gable is the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion. Elsewhere during the interview, Gable discussed wanting to face heels during his run. You can find more comments here.
