Chantel Monroe States That WWE NIL First Reached Out To Her In 2021, But She Turned It Down

When the offer presented itself again, Chantel Monroe figured she’d give it a go.

After being sidelined since early 2026 due to an ankle injury, Chantel Monroe made her return to in-ring competition for WWE at a taping of Main Event in late September.

Shortly before her comeback, Monroe sat down with the WrestlingSyndicate for an interview. While speaking about her journey to WWE, she shared that the company’s N.I.L. program first reached out to her in 2021, in its launch year, but she turned it down.

“I love to connect with people, I love to perform and I just have, I feel like, that factor. That ‘it factor’ people like to say when it comes to entertaining and I was like, oh! That’s what drew me to it because at first — funny story — they reached out to me in like 2021 when N.I.L. was first a thing and I turned it down… I was still in college and I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life, and then it came up again and I was like, ‘I love to entertain’ so I wanted to see what this has for me…”

As of this writing, Monroe’s latest bouts took place during an NXT house show loop in Florida.
