Chelsea Green Recalls ‘Baywatch’ Audition Under ‘Embarrassing’ Circumstances

Chelsea Green has branched out to do more and more acting roles, and she got an audition for her dream job. Unfortunately, the circumstances weren’t ideal.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Chelsea recalled her “Baywatch” audition that happened on short notice.

“I had a hilarious experience. We were doing the Euro tour a couple of months ago, and I had just left, traveling to Bologna, Italy, to do SmackDown. I got a call from my agent. ‘You have a self-tape, but you have to do it in the next 24 to 48 hours, hopefully 24, and it’s for Baywatch.’ I had to do it in my hotel room with Matt reading for me with terrible lighting. It was like, ‘Nooo.’ This is my dream audition and I didn’t even have my acting coach, the proper lighting, all the things you want to set you up for success. I’m setting up my camera, and I don’t even know how to do a video recording; I’ve only taken selfies. I’m setting it up on a table with a garbage can and a box of tissues with a makeshift light with a bed in the background. I was so embarrassed. I texted Stephen Amell, ‘I’m really excited that I’m taping for Baywatch today. Small part. Fingers crossed.’ He was so sweet. I’m sure he put in a nice word, but I was embarrassed because I’m sending what looks like… it doesn’t look great.

“I sent it to my acting coach, and she said, ‘I would have given you a million things to make it look better, but at the end of the day, you did the best you could with the circumstances.'”

She confirmed she did not get the role, but is excited to see who did.

Elsewhere during the interview, Chelsea discussed her broken orbital bone. You can find her full comments here.
