Oba Femi Recalls Being Recruited To Alabama At A Subway In Tennessee
Oba Femi was recruited to Alabama at a fast food establishment.
‘The Ruler’ started off his collegiate career at Middle Tennessee State University in 2017. Two years later, Femi found more success when he transferred to the University Of Alabama.
As it turns out, Oba Femi was recruited to Alabama at a Subway by one of the school’s coaches, Derek Yush.
“Yeah, that is the story. We met at a Subway in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and we discussed our philosophies and ideologies of throwing. After that meeting, it was like, ‘Wow, I really believe in what he says.’ That’s the biggest thing about being an athlete. If you believe in what your coach is putting out there, forget how good the drills actually are. It’s the mindset. If you truly believe in what they’re saying, you’ll go as far as you want.” Femi told ABC 33/40 in a new interview.
