Clark Connors: We Wanted To Be The Raw Dogs In AEW

When Clark Connors, Gabe Kidd, and David Finlay officially came to AEW, they became just The Dogs after being The War Dogs in NJPW.

The group was an offshoot of the Bullet Club, which had slowly disbanded and was ultimately dropped when Finlay took over from Jay White as the leader.

Speaking with Tony Schiavone on What Happened When, Connors revealed the name they initially pitched.

“When we came over here, we just became the Dogs, but we really pitched the name Raw Dogs, but I think there was an issue with that whole Monday night thing, but it sounds cool because we’re raw fucking dogs. The Dogs is also a sick name,” he said.

Yes, that was the issue with the name.

The Dogs are currently aligned with the Death Riders on AEW TV.
