Cruz Montana, Grayson Waller & Tony D’Angelo Segment Closes 7/28 WWE NXT
Cruz Montana accidentally strikes the champion.
Cruz Montana (Mike Santana) closed the 7/28 NXT broadcast. He stated that he’s officially a WWE superstar. He talked about his upbringing in addition to being a tag team wrestler and how people told him that was his peak.
The former TNA World Champion stated that he loves and appreciates TNA for what they did for him.
Montana then set his sights on the NXT Championship. He also addressed Grayson Waller and said his promo was cute, but whatever he has to say to Waller, he’ll say it to his face, and they can meet at any YMCA, referencing Waller’s show-opening promo during which he stated that being the top guy in TNA is like being the best basketball player at the local YMCA.
NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo hit the ring to address Montana. Waller showed up and fought with them both, and the physicality concluded after Montana tried to hit the ‘Spin the Block’ on Waller, but Waller ducked and Montana connected with D’Angelo.
