On this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, Ethan Page would face off with Dragon Lee for shot at Chad Gable’s WWE Intercontinental Championship. During the bout, Page would attempt to cheat his way to victory and a title shot, but Gable would interfere, preventing him from doing so and leading to Dragon Lee scoring the victory.
While speaking in a promo posted to social media following the match, Ethan Page would react to the loss, noting that Chad Gable hand selected his opponent.
“If Chad Gable is anything, it’s an honest man. I respect him for that. He came to the ring tonight and he told everyone on Monday Night Raw that Adam Pearce is gonna allow him to hand select his challenger from Mexico. No, you can stay, I’m done walking. He gets to pick his opponent in Mexico. Then we have this arbitrary match where Adam Pearce still allowed Chad to select his opponent. Go watch the end of my match with Dragon Lee and tell me that Chad Gable didn’t hand select Dragon Lee.”
