Gisele Shaw: The NWA Locker Room Has Accepted Me So Much, Everyone Has Been So Welcoming
Gisele Shaw is having a great time in the NWA.
Despite debuting for the company at the tail end of 2025, Shaw is already a champion for NWA, as she recently defeated Tiffany Nieves for the NWA World Women’s Television Championship.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Shaw talked about debuting for NWA and how she is continuing to make history.
“I’m so fortunate to be debuting in these companies. They’re legacy companies. NWA has been here for so long—77 years, I think? Obviously having the opportunity to—I don’t want to say break the mold, but—representation and I think that making history, it’s super cool to me. I don’t care if people say, ‘Oh, my God, you’re such a mark.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t care.’”
Shaw went on to praise the company’s locker room for accepting her and being welcoming.
“The locker room has just accepted me so much. Everyone’s so welcoming. It is tough when you go into a new locker room where you’re like, ‘I don’t know, how they’re going to act with me or react with me,’ type of deal. But everyone’s been so cool. There’s definitely people that I’m closer with, but I guess that’s just like with any other luck around.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Shaw named Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace as the two women that she does her best work with. Check out her full comments here.
