India Sioux Talks About The Importance Of Winning The CMLL-Japan Women’s Title
India Sioux talks about the importance of winning the CMLL-Japan Women’s Championship.
Last year, on March 7, India Sioux defeated Hazuki to win the CMLL-Japan Women’s Title. Speaking with Fightful’s Luis Pulido, Sioux commented on how important winning this title belt was for her as well as her matches against Hazuki and Rina.
“Every achievement I’ve had has been very special. Since my return up to this point, these past two years have been wonderful. After so many years out, returning to Japan was, first and foremost, a very important goal for me. While in Japan, I got the opportunity to compete for that championship, and I also know who I beat there: Hazuki, a huge star in Stardom and Japanese wrestling. Waiting for a challenger is a big commitment, because I know they’ll come and try to take it from me. They’ve already done that, and I successfully defended the title for the first time (against RINA), but I’m also looking forward to this very important part: finding out who wants to come and take that championship back. Going to their home turf and taking it from them required a lot of focus: being so far from home, knowing that every goal I set for myself is being achieved. It’s been incredible, but I can tell you that, starting with the Universal Championship, India’s story took a tremendous turn.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the wrestler talked about getting to compete in the CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship tournament this year. Fans can read her full comments here.
