Jacy Jayne Says Lainey Reid Was ‘Missing Piece’ Of Fatal Influence, Views Her As Glue That Holds The Group Together

High praise to Lainey Reid.

The trio known as Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) was victorious at WWE SummerSlam as they scored a win over Paige and The Bella Twins (Nikki Bella & Brie Bella).

Jayne appeared on Busted Open and spoke about the win. She said she, Henley and Reid were emotional about being featured at the Premium Live Event.

“When we first got to the stadium… we went out on the stage for the first time and we all got emotional and we’re like, ‘Can’t believe we’re here. We did it.’ It was a big deal. It wasn’t my first pay-per-view. I guess technically Evolution was my first main roster pay-per-view but this was my first SummerSlam, my first stadium. I guess my first time being a main roster member being on a pay-per-view. It was crazy and it’s like one of the biggest weekends of the year. Like, how did I get here?”

She went on to add that she feels the match was a passing of the torch.

“I know everybody’s talking about passing of the torch with Brock (Lesnar) and Oba (Femi) but, in a way, I feel like it was a passing of the torch to us too. It was old school versus new school. The last generation versus the new generation. I feel like that was a very special moment for the women’s division and for us at that point.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Jayne was asked about Lainey Reid and heaped praise onto her. She said she was the missing piece of the group and looks at her as the glue that holds everything together.

“I’m so proud of Lainey (Reid). Someone who had no wrestling experience. She’s been in the business for, I think, maybe three years. Maybe a little over three years but, she’s picked it up so fast and she just always wants to learn and dive into things and she really was the missing piece. I feel like she brings the group together. She’s the glue that holds us together. She’s killing it. I’m so proud of her.”

Reid and Henley are the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. They won the belts from Paige and Brie Bella at Saturday Night’s Main Event in July.
