JBL Says He Prefers CM Punk More As A Heel: ‘He’s A Good Babyface Too, But I Think He’s A Great Heel’
JBL prefers CM Punk as a heel.
On the 7/6 WWE Raw, CM Punk returned to WWE after a three-month absence. He replaced Cody Rhodes in the Undisputed WWE Championship match and defeated Sami Zayn to become an eight-time world champion in WWE.
Speaking on Something to Wrestle With, JBL discussed Punk’s return. Conrad brought up the promo between Punk and Rhodes from this year’s Raw after WrestleMania. He noted that the storyline makes you feel like Punk has been pulling the strings from behind the scenes, and that this could be a way to turn him heel.
Conrad then asked for JBL’s thoughts about Punk’s work as a face and a heel.
“I prefer Punk as a heel. I think he’s a great heel. I think he’s a good babyface, too, but I think he’s a great heel. … I like CM Punk, and I like him as a babyface. I just don’t like babyfaces. I hate them all. I really do. I think he’d be a great heel, and I love him as a heel.”
