Kacy Catanzaro On NXT Women’s Tag Title Win: I’m Really Glad With The Way It Happened

Kacy Catanzaro reflects on her title wins in WWE.

Despite never capturing a singles championship in the company, Catanzaro enjoyed two separate tag team title reigns alongside Kayden Carter. Their stint with the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships lasted for 186 days.

Then, less than a year later, Carter and Catanzaro held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships for 39 days.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Kacy spoke specifically about her title victory in NXT.

“I remember both times. When it was in NXT, I remember them saying with NXT, it was like, ‘We really want to get to the point where the people really want it for you.’ In NXT, it was like so many times we
were in that story and we just kept not making it, kept not making it. I’m really glad the way it happened
because when we finally did it was just so worth it. So I just remember those moments. It’s hard because when someone tells you that you’re going to get something, it’s like, ‘Okay, they’re just saying you’re getting it.’ But to feel from the crowd and the people on the journey with you that you’ve earned it.’ I felt
like in both scenarios, we had really worked for it. So it felt really validating to be able to know that they
trusted you with that.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Catanzaro praised TJ Wilson’s mind for wrestling. Check out her full comments by clicking here.
