Kevin Knight Reflects On Facing Kenny Omega At AEW Redemption, Feels He Proved He’s A Main Eventer
Kevin Knight feels like he proved himself.
The first-ever AEW Redemption pay-per-view took place on July 26th in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The main event was Canada’s own Kenny Omega defending the AEW World Championship against Kevin Knight.
Knight looked back on the bout while speaking to Fightful correspondent Shirleigh. He feels like he proved he’s a future main eventer.
“I feel the pressure all day every day but you know, that’s what I signed up for and pressure is a privilege and the pressure makes diamonds. I had a lot of pressure going into the last pay-per-view against Kenny Omega. Although I didn’t come out with the win, although I didn’t become Jet 2 Belts, I feel like I proved to the people that I am a future main eventer and that they will see that so, the pressure just makes me elevate even more.”
Coming up for Knight is All In on August 30th, where he’ll be defending the TNT Championship against Darby Allin in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
