Killer Kross Thinks The Door Has Always Been Open With AEW

After departing WWE in the summer of 2025, Killer Kross has been back on the independent scene, mainly working with MLW.

At the time of his WWE departure, many wondered if Kross would show up in AEW given the buzz he had created in the final months with WWE and people wondering whether or not his contract expiration was a work or a shoot.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Kross was asked about the possibility of joining AEW and whether he’s spoken to Tony Khan.

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Tony, and he knows that. I prefer to keep those conversations private out of respect for Tony and myself,” he said.

Asked if the door is open, Kross replied, “I think it’s always been open.”

Kross is the reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion.

He will defend the title against Matt Riddle on Saturday’s MLW Fusion.
