A surprise cameo from Kota Ibushi.

Ueno Park in the city of Taitō played host to Super Japan Pro Wrestling’s event on May 27th. The show featured a surprise cameo appearance from Kota Ibushi.

There was a tag team match that saw CIMA and Yuji Nagata take on Poison Sawada JULIE and Sanshiro Takagi.

Post-match, a beaten-up Takagi was making his way to the backstage area, and waiting on him was Kota Ibushi. Takagi hugged Ibushi, and then they headed to the back.

Ibushi has been out of action since October 2025, when he suffered a broken femur. He underwent surgery, and then in February 2026, he underwent a second surgery because a major screw came loose.

Ibushi stated that he was hoping to return in 2026 despite being told he would need two years to recover. Ibushi is signed to All Elite Wrestling.
