Lil Yachty Wants To Be Full-Time With WWE: “If I Climb The Ranks In WWE & Get The Checks That I Want, This Music Sh*t Can Kiss Me Goodbye”

Lil Yachty states that he’s stepping away from music if things line up correctly with WWE.

Two-time Grammy-nominated music artist and producer Lil Yachty sat down with Complex for a chat. As the conversation moved along, Yachty spoke about his venture into WWE, where he is the manager/ally to United States Champion Trick Williams.

He was asked what he has learned from WWE that he can take into his music performances. He said there’s no correlation because WWE is more militant. He stated that he loves it and is trying to be full-time with the company.

Yachty added that if the pieces come together with WWE, he’ll never release another album and music can kiss him goodbye.

“Nah, no correlation. It’s so much different; it’s so much more militant you gotta be in WWE. This is my show. I call the shots, I make the rules, I do what I want. WWE, it’s time, it’s cameras… producers. It’s so different. It’s like militant, and you gotta be on your sh*t… I always talk to wrestlers about this: You just don’t have the leeway you have. I can go up there, talk sh*t, f*ck up. You got X amount of time and you gotta make everything count and you gotta captivate that audience. You don’t see them again till next Friday, and you got a real small time in your segment to get your point across, your message across and be remembered for six more days until next Friday, and hope that you captivated so good that Friday, that, in them six days, you back on TV again. If you f*ck up or you do some bullsh*t, you might not be on TV that next week. It’s a lot more militant and disciplined, and I love it, man. I’d like to go full-time; I’m trying to go full-time. I won’t ever put an album out ever again.” He continued, “If I climb the ranks in WWE and get the checks that I want, this music sh*t can kiss me goodbye. I swear to God. I will be back flipping, getting thrown through tables and whatever else until my body give out on me.”

Yachty has not been on WWE TV since he was attacked by Baron Corbin on the 9/11 Friday Night SmackDown. Yachty made his in-ring debut against Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event.
