Mark Davis On His Reaction To Kyle Fletcher Going Bald: It Was A Very Powerful Moment

Mark Davis comments on his reaction to Kyle Fletcher going the bald route on AEW television to stave off comparisons with Will Ospreay.

On the October 23rd, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, Kyle Fletcher would continue the beginnings of his rivalry with Will Ospreay, shaving his head on the show to show that he no longer wanted to be compared to the AEW star moving forward. Since then, Fletcher has continued to rock a bald look and for his Aussie Open tag team partner, he feels he pulls it off.

While speaking to Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds, Mark Davis was asked about Fletcher’s decision to go the bald route, noting that it was a powerful moment for Fletcher.

“You know, I was sitting at home at that point, still rehabbing some injuries. So I was a little bit outside of what Kyle was going through in his head. I wasn’t there, you know, like chatting to him every day. I didn’t really understand what position he was in. But I think for him, it was, you know, it was just the moment that he took control of his future in a lot of ways. Put his foot down, planted it and said that, ‘I’m Kyle Fletcher. I’m going to make my own path inside of this. I’m not going to do it in the shadow of any other person’ Ospreay or anybody else, and i think for him it was a very powerful moment, plus he looks pretty good bald, bald by choice, pretty powerful choice to make and he pulls it off. I gotta give him props for it.”
