Mark Henry discusses one of the main event matches currently set for WWE SummerSlam, where Roman Reigns will face Seth Rollins.
Rollins and Reigns share an intense history together not only as rivals but both as members of The Shield alongside Jon Moxley, then wrestling under the ring name Dean Ambrose. The two men are currently scheduled to meet at SummerSlam next month for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
While speaking to Casino.org in a new interview, WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry spoke about the upcoming bout, noting that he believes we’ll be talking about the match ‘for a long time.’ Henry also stated that he can’t see the match ending without interference on both sides.
“I think that Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns is going to be one that we’ll talk about for a long time. They’re both unbelievably talented, they’re in great condition, and most importantly, they both have a lot to prove. When you have a lot to prove, you don’t set a limit for yourself, and I think that’s what this fight will be like. Nobody will set limits. They will go out, fight their hardest and will both have the attitude of “good luck, let’s just see what happens. I think that Seth Rollins has more to lose. Roman Reigns has his family members which I think he may use as either a distraction during the fight, or as a way to make Seth Rollins lose, by them getting involved and cheating. To be honest, I don’t know if either one of them will last the entire fight without having somebody come in and interfere. Because if you have both guys go straight up, fight a normal fight and it’s a 1-2-3 finish, the other one is going to have to start his story over again and build his way back up to number one a contender to get another shot. And I don’t think WWE would want to do that with either one of those guys. They want them both at the top for as long as possible.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Mark Henry spoke about Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. You can read more about that here.
