Roxanne Perez: Bumping Heads With Liv Morgan Was One Of The Scariest Things That’s Ever Happened To Me In Pro Wrestling
Roxanne Perez looks back on the moment that scared her.
Leading up to the WWE Women’s World Championship match between Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42, there was a segment on Monday Night Raw in which Morgan chatted with fellow Judgment Day member Roxanne Perez.
Vaquer blitzed the scene and pushed Morgan directly into Perez. The Judgment Day factionmates knocked heads, and Morgan developed a hematoma.
Perez spoke about that while on Notsam Wrestling Live! and said it is one of the scariest things that has ever happened to her in wrestling.
“Every time someone brings that up to me, that sound just replays in my head. It’s literally like a horror movie. I can still hear it and it makes me cringe. That was one of the scariest things that’s ever happened to me in professional wrestling. Like seriously. I’ve been thrown around… Getting hit in the head like that — Liv Morgan still has that knot on her head, to this day and that was five months ago.” Perez continued, “Immediately (I heard the sound). Immediately. Clunk, I heard the crack and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I was just laying on the floor and I was pressing my head because I was like, I just know I have a bump. That’s the first thing that came to my mind. I was like, I’m gonna have a bump when I get up, and then, they yelled cut, I turned around and looked at Liv… and I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ And then I looked at mine and I was like, okay, mine’s not as bad,” she laughed. “But it’s still pretty bad, and then yeah, mine went away in like a week and hers is still there. Still there.”
Vaquer returned to WWE television on the 8/3 Monday Night Raw. She fought off Perez, WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez, and took the fight to Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Vaquer then went face-to-face with Becky Lynch, who also made her return on the night.
