Swerve Strickland previews his upcoming match with Will Ospreay at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door later tonight.
At the event later tonight, the Owen Hart Cup will host it’s final matches in both the women’s and men’s tournaments, with Swerve and Ospreay scheduled to meet in the men’s finals to decide who will challenge for the AEW World Title at Wembley Stadium later this year.
While speaking in AEW’s countdown show for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Swerve Strickland stated that ‘Scorsese himself’ could have written Ospreay’s story heading into All In.
“Everybody wants to talk about this is a foregone conclusion. This is the story that has already been written. Sounds like Scorsese himself has written it. It’s already in the stars. This is destiny. I’ve made a career ruining plans for people. I’ll be the one to upset Will Ospreay. I’ll be the one to upset his wife, cheering him on every step of the way. Congratulations on your marriage, by the way. I wish I got the invite.”
Swerve would emphatically noted that he delivers when he says something.
“When I say something, I deliver. Even more so against you, Will Ospreay.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Swerve spoke about his friendship with Ospreay. You can read more about that here.
