“The Painmaker” Chris Jericho Submits Tommaso Ciampa At AEW Redemption

The Painmaker wins.
At the AEW Redemption pay-per-view, Chris Jericho wrestled Tommaso Ciampa in a No Holds Barred match. Jericho brought out his “Painmaker” persona for this bout.
Both wrestlers had previously wrestled at AEW Dynamite Beach Break, where Ciampa emerged victorious.
Jericho had a baseball bat wrapped around barbed wire with him, so Ciampa had to quickly get out of the ring and bring a steel chair. Both wrestlers then swung their weapons at each other, with Jericho eventually losing hold of his baseball bat.
They used several weapons throughout the match, including a hockey stick, sandpaper, barbed wire table, and more. Ciampa also received a loud chorus of boos from the Montreal audience when he pulled out a Boston Bruins jersey from the trash can. He would get even more heat from the fans when he brought out a plushie of Youppi, Montreal Canadiens’ mascot, and beat it with a hockey stick before hitting it with a backstabber. He would then go for the cover before getting attacked by Jericho.
The finish saw Jericho use a drill on Ciampa’s head, which led to Ciampa instantly tapping out.
