Thunder Rosa Says CMLL Run Has Been A Learning Process, Praises Peers For Being So Kind

Thunder Rosa is learning as she goes in CMLL.
Since securing a contract with the promotion back in April, Rosa has become a bit of a regular for CMLL. She’s shared the ring with top names from the company like Zeuxis and Reyna Isis.
Speaking with Brad Gilmore for a new interview, Rosa talked about the learning curve in CMLL and how she has to switch her mindset on a dime.
“From the moment I literally step in Mexico City, I’m thinking, breathing, and eating Lucha Libre. I’m on the phone watching all the matches to see what I can do. Every match has to be different because they want to be entertained. My peers, god bless them, they’re so talented in Mexico. Underratedly talented. The things that they can do, it’s incredible. I’m always pushing myself harder and harder to see what else I can do to make myself better and to make sure they feel comfortable when I get in the ring. Believe it or not, it’s a language barrier. I come and I know the name of the moves, but I don’t know them in Spanish. So, it’s like I’m speaking with signs, it’s in my body language. They’ve been so kind and they are teaching me so much. I always tell them, I come here to learn, I come here to — I know you guys know the people and the system better, so I trust you guys. It’s been a learning curve and a learning process. When I come [back to AEW], I have to switch my mindset to TV and American wrestling. It’s good because it keeps me on my feet and it keeps me rounded.”
