Tony Khan Says AEW Revenue Is The Highest Ever, Reinvesting In The Future Of The Company

Tony Khan gives insight into the business of AEW.
AEW has established itself as the second biggest wrestling promotion in the US, and brands itself as a challenger brand and alternative to WWE. Backed by the Khan family, the company reportedly lost money in the first years of its existence, but its latest TV deal brought more stability to the promotion.
On the AEW Double or Nothing media call, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics simply asked if AEW is profitable.
“Our revenue is the highest it’s ever been. I can’t comment on where we stand in terms of every expense year-to-year. Certainly, this is going to be the most revenue we’ve ever generated and the strongest financial outlook for the company ever. I’m reinvesting in a number of projects, including digital projects, to grow the company for the future. As far as how it’s accounted, I don’t have all the figures in front of me, but I can say it’s by far the most revenue we’ve ever brought in, and the future is the healthiest outlook. I’ll continue to reinvest in the business, developing new platforms and trying to open up new territories to grow the company. We’re launching some new projects and some international developments that will require investment that I think our smart moves. We are strongly positioned for the future of AEW. Now is the perfect time for me to double down on AEW because we’re going to be around for a very, very long time,” he said.
AEW has run more unique venues over the past year and developed the MyAEW platform for overseas fans.
