Wrestlers coming to the United States who have become established in other areas of the worlds is not uncommon, and happens regularly, especially for talent that have made their name in Japan like IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji.
While speaking to Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds in a new interview, Yota Tsuji would be asked what he tries to get up to in the United States when he is in the country to wrestle, with the IWGP Heavyweight Champion sharing his enjoyment of gambling.
“So one of his routine when he goes to shows internationally is that he goes to casino and, you know,
enjoyed it a little bit. So last time he came to US for the Chicago G1 opener, he went to casino and he lost about $1,000 within like 30 minutes. So he needed to bounce off kind of early. So I’m trying to get early bets this time.”
Yota was then asked what his choice of game is in casinos, naming the two he enjoys the most.
“Either poker or Blackjack.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Yota spoke about his upcoming appearance with MLW. You can read more about that here.
