Young Bucks On Asking For TNA Release: We Saw Something In Ourselves That They Didn’t

In July 2011, the Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) wrestled their last match at the time for TNA Wrestling.

The brothers, who went by Generation Me (Max Buck & Jeremy Buck) lost to Eric Young & Shark Boy at TNA Destination X.

They requested, and were granted, their releases after disagreements over money and creative.

“Call it blind confidence, or young arrogance, we just saw something in ourselves that they did not, and we had the courage to make a change,” Matt told Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, reflecting on the 15-year anniversary of their release.

The Bucks would return to TNA in 2013 for the Tag Team Tournament One Night Only, and made an appearance at TNA Against All Odds 2021 during the AEW-TNA partnership years.

The Bucks are set to face Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay at AEW Redemption. Fans can check out the lineup for the show by clicking here.
