5/8 SmackDown Viewership Sees The First Increase Since Mid-March

SmackDown's downward spiral in the viewership numbers comes to a halt as we see the first increase in weeks.

According to overnight numbers released by Showbuzz Daily, the May 8 episode of SmackDown averaged 2.040 million viewers, up from last week's 1.918 million viewers. This week's number is the first time that SmackDown viewership saw an increase since March 13, which was at the beginning of the no audience shows at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

In the 18-49 demographic, the show drew a 0.5 rating, the same as last week and the week prior as well. Between ABC, CBS, CW, FOX and NBC, ABC's Shark Tank & CBS' Magnum P.I, were the highest-rated shows in the 18-49 demographic, drawing a 0.7 rating.

Hour 1: 2.087 million viewers, 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic

Hour 2: 1.992 million viewers, 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic
