AAA Announces 'Auto Luchas' Drive-In Wrestling

AAA is trying a new concept with fans still being unable to attend events.

AAA (via Lucha Blog) announced Auto Luchas, a drive-in wrestling concept to take place at Six Flags Mexico. Fans will be able to drive up, park in assigned spots, and watch wrestling in a raised ring. Screens will also be set-up around the area for any potentially obstructed views of the ring. Fans will be required to stay in their cars and wear face masks during the show. Sanitary precautions will also be taken.

Cars will be limited to 4 people for a regular-sized car, 7 for a SUV. AAA will broadcast commentary on radio for the fans to listen in. Dorian Roldan mentioned AAA is in talks of streaming or airing the Auto Luchas shows and talks are positive, but nothing has been made official.

There is no start date for Auto Luchas as they are still waiting for the government to greenlight the concept.

AAA previously announced the postponement of TripleMania XXVIII due to COVID-19. The promotion has not run shows during the pandemic.
