News and notes from the AAA press conference.
Earlier today, Lucha Libre AAA held a press conference at Madison Square Garden, announcing that the promotion will invade New York and MSG on Sept. 15. You can view the full press release put out by the promotion here.
Other notes from the press conference:
- Tessa Blanchard made a surprise appearance on stage. She ended up squaring off with Taya Valkyrie, who she has a history with in IMPACT Wrestling. IMPACT officials Scott D?Amore and Ed Nordholm were also in attendance. AAA has a partnership with IMPACT and AEW.
- AAA GM Dorian Roldan was asked about Cain Velasquez potentially appearing at the MSG event. Roldan said Cain has only agreed to appear at TripleMania in August but the two sides will continue to discuss things.
- Roldan mentioned wanting to run more cities in the United States. Los Angeles was hinted at as a strong possibility but nothing has been confirmed.
- There are no broadcast details for the Sept. 15 event at MSG.
