Aaron Wolf Attempts To Recruit Olympian Christa Deguchi To Pro Wrestling, Invites Her To NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 21

Aaron Wolf suggests that Christa Deguchi transition to pro wrestling.
The current NEVER Openweight Champion of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Aaron Wolf, hosted a Judo tournament called the Aaron Wolf Cup on October 25th in his hometown of Katsushika, Japan.
There was a talk show event that also took place with Wolf and one of the guests was his former classmate and fellow Olympic Champion Christa Deguchi.
Deguchi retired from Judo in March 2026, and Wolf encouraged her to transition to pro wrestling. Tokyo Sports was in attendance and noted that Deguchi said she knows pro wrestling isn’t easy. She is unsure about transitioning. Wolf stated that Deguchi was supposed to come see one of his matches in NJPW, but she never came.
She stated that she wants to see him in a special moment. Wolf then invited her to Wrestle Kingdom 21 on January 4th, 2027, at the Tokyo Dome.
Deguchi won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics and has won gold medals at the Judo World Championships in 2019 and 2023. She competed for Japan and then switched to represent Canada in 2017. She competed in Judo for 27 years before retiring.
