Sol Ruca: Becky Lynch Taught Me How To Stick Up For Myself When I Disagree With Certain Things
Sol Ruca is one of the newer talents on the main roster, and hasn’t been in the wrestling business long as she got started at the Performance Center in NXT in 2022.
Though she might not have as much experience as others, she’s already won championships and competed on high-level PLEs.
Her first title on the main roster was the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which she captured by defeating Becky Lynch, regarded as one of the greatest female wrestlers in WWE history.
Speaking to Korey Smith & Tor Smith on KRON4, Sol was asked what she learned from working with Becky.
“She is one of the greatest of all time for a reason. She is so good at what she does and the character work. I’ve learned a lot from her, especially in the character aspect of it. Seeing how her brain works, seeing how she’s able to take these promos and segments and make it her own and know what the fans are going to bite on and enjoy. Being able to turn nothing into something. She’s really good at that. She’s really good at questioning creative and trying to make everything the best that it can be. I definitely learned to be able to stick up for myself a little bit when I disagree with certain things. She’s really good at doing that in a respectful way and being able to perform at the best of her ability and giving the fans what they want,” she said.
Solva has yet to compete on TV since WWE Money in the Bank when she was part of the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Lynch will take on Stephanie Vaquer on Monday’s WWE Raw. Fans can check out the lineup for the show here.
