Adam Copeland Says AEW Double Or Nothing 2024 Injury Still Lingers With Him

Adam Copeland has taken a number of high risks in his career, but perhaps no move was riskier than jumping off the top of a cage at the age of 50.

At AEW Double or Nothing 2024, Copeland leaped from the top of the cage, crashing down through Malakai Black. In the process, Copeland fractured his tibia and was sidelined for seven months.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, Copeland was asked if he regrets the spot.

“Nah. It’s part of it. You don’t expect to walk out of it unharmed. More than anything, I feel like that one has lingered with me. That injury in particular, I feel it every once in a while. I’ll go to take a step and the leg will just give. ‘Okay, right, there is a plate and screws in there.’ I have to keep track of that. It’s also the same leg that I tore the Achilles. It reminds me, but I don’t regret it. It’s all part of the process. When I got up there and looked down, I was like, ‘These cages are higher, I think.’ They were [laughs].”

Copeland was the AEW TNT Champion at the time, but was stripped of the title due to injury.

He is now one-half of the AEW Tag Team Champions alongside Christian Cage.

Elsewhere during the interview, Copeland discussed the end of his WWE run. You can find his full comments here.
