AEW Dynamite 9/9 Draws More Than One Million Viewers For The First Time Since October 2019

AEW Dynamite this week drew one of its biggest audiences in the show's history.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the September 9 episode of Dynamite averaged 1.016 million viewers, which is up from the 928,000 viewers the September 2 episode drew. This is the first time Dynamite drew more than a million viewers since October 2019 and it's the third-highest viewership number in Dynamite history.

AEW Dynamite averaged roughly 878,000 viewers per episode in the past 4 weeks with no NXT TV competition, though most of the August 22 episode of Dynamite went head-to-head with NXT TakeOver XXX, which streamed on the WWE Network.

In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite this week drew a 0.37 rating, seventh-best on cable for the day. This is higher than the 0.36 rating the September 9 episode drew. AEW Dynamite this week drew a 0.22 rating in the 18-34 demo and a 0.40 rating in 50+ demo. Among males 18-49, AEW's rating was fourth-best on cable for that day.

This week's Dynamite was headlined by Brodie Lee vs. Dustin Rhodes for the TNT Championship. In addition, Miro, formerly known as Rusev in WWE, made his AEW debut when he appeared on Dynamite and it was revealed that he is going to be Kip Sabian's best man.
