AEW Dynamite & NXT Viewership Down For 4/29; AEW's Ratings Up

Although viewership for both AEW Dynamite and NXT dropped this week, AEW still came out on top in both viewership and ratings.

According to numbers released by Showbuzz Daily, the April 29 episode of Dynamite averaged 693,000 viewers, down from last week's 731,000 viewers and the second-highest for an episode of Dynamite for the month of April. NXT, on the other hand, averaged 637,000 viewers, which is down from last week's 665,000 viewers. It is the third straight week NXT's viewership went down.

In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite came out on top with a 0.27 rating, good for 16th best on cable for the day and up from last week's 0.25 rating. NXT drew a 0.16 rating in that demographic, which is 51st best on cable and down from last week's 0.18 rating.

Dynamite featured two semifinal matches in the TNT Title Tournament, with Cody and Lance Archer meeting in the finals to crown the inaugural champion. NXT saw Keith Lee successfully defend his North American Championship against Damian Priest as well as two matches in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.
