AEW Rampage Draws Over 725,000 Viewers For Debut Episode On 8/13/21

Strong numbers for the debut episode of AEW Rampage.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that AEW Rampage drew 740,000 viewers for the debut episode on Friday, August 13.

The show podcast a 0.31 rating (396,000 viewers) in the 18 to 49 demographic. The show finished third among cable originals, coming in behind two NFL preseason games on NFL Network.

For reference, when AEW Dynamite was pre-empted to Friday at 10 p.m. ET on TNT, the show's highest viewership number was 552,000 viewers. Of course, Dynamite is two hours compared to Rampage being one hour.

The debut episode of AEW Rampage was headlined by three title matches including Christian Cage winning the IMPACT Championship from Kenny Omega and Britt Baker successfully defending the AEW Women's Championship against Red Velvet.

The most viewed AEW Rampage video on YouTube is highlights from Christian vs. Omega with 919,000 views. Darby Allin and Sting hanging out in the rafters is the second most viewed video with 316,000 views.
